Taylor Swift was reportedly made to feel very uncomfortable after the Golden Globes host joked about her romance with NFL star Travis Kelce.
The 34-year-old Bad Blood hitmaker attended the 81st Annual Golden Globes Awards after her Eras Tour movie was nominated for the new Cinematic and Box Office Achievement category.
Some time into the show, however, the pop star was left fuming and throwing a sharp look after host Jo Koy made some brutal remarks about her new relationship.
“Welcome back. As you know, we came on after a football doubleheader,” Koy said.
“The big difference between the Golden Globes and the NFL – on the Golden Globes fewer camera shots of Taylor Swift. I swear, there’s more to go to here. Sorry about that.”
After the witty joke, Swift appeared to react with anger as she glared at the host and took a sip of her drink while refusing to crack a smile.
Now, a source close to Taylor spoke out and confirmed that the singer definitely wasn’t amused by Koy’s “tacky” joke.
“Taylor nor her girls found Jo Koy’s tacky jab very funny. Clearly neither did the audience and her fans. It made her uncomfortable as it would have anyone,” an insider told DailyMail.com.
“At the end of the day his entire performance was the actual joke. He should know who the audience is before coming for them. Taylor just bit her tongue.”
And while Taylor refused to comment on the joke because “she doesn’t have time” to hit back at her haters, the source suggested Travis might get more vocal about the joke on his podcast.
“She doesn’t have time to clap back at anyone, nor does she want to. She cannot say the same about Travis, who might have some words on his podcast about this,” the source added.
