Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift fans were left devastated after the NFL star revealed he and his new flame would not be spending this year’s Thanksgiving together.
It was previously rumored that the Bad Blood hitmaker and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end could be spending Thanksgiving together with their families at the $6 million mansion the footballer bought in search of more privacy.
Now, however, fans’ hopes of the two families’ get-together were shattered by Kelce himself who said he’d be feasting on KFC alone while his girlfriend is away for her Eras Tour in Brazil.
“Good luck to them,” Travis said on New Heights Podcast after his brother, Jason, talked about the NFL games that will be played on the holiday. “I’ll be feasting on KFC because I won’t have anybody here.”
In response, Jason asked his sibling what his personal chef, Kumar Ferguson, would be doing. “You don’t have anybody in there cooking turkey? What’s Kumar doing?” he inquired.
Travis responded: “I don’t know. He might be going back to hang out with his family.”
His brother then proceeded to invite Travis to spend the holiday at his house saying “plenty of food” would be waiting for him should he decide to join them.
While the offer was graciously accepted, Travis will likely be unable to make the journey given that he has a game against the Las Vegas Raiders coming up on Sunday.
“I don’t ever remember having Thanksgiving like we did when we were kids. Every single Thanksgiving, we always have practice in the morning,” Travis added as he recalled the holidays as they were when he was younger.
The admission made Travis and Taylor’s fans heartbroken with some saying they should make an effort to spend their first Thanksgiving as a couple together.
“Travis alone during thanksgiving, my Swiftie heart can’t bear that,” someone wrote.
“I hope she flies from Brazil to surprise him on Thanksgiving. That would be unforgettable!” another suggested.
