On the KPRC report, 4 students from Aragon Middle School who were riding their dirt bikes on campus during the baseball practice are responsible for the attack.

Peggy, Schott’s mother, said that the attack happened after his son stopped one middle school student from riding his dirt bike on campus then the student left and came back with three other students.

Peggy said: “The reason it happened to him was because he was doing his job. He stopped the kids. Well, there was only one kid at first. The reason the others came back is because they didn’t like him stopping them.”

According to some students, the coach was responding to a bunch of the kids making noise on their dirt bikes. They chased down Schott, beat him up, and broke his arm, the incident was captured on a cell phone.

Alena Gonzales, the school sophomore student, told KPRC that the day the students jumped Schott, they got arrested and their older friends threatened to shoot up our school. Gonzales said: “We couldn’t walk around unless we had an ID badge, they wouldn’t even let us in.”
