A young teenager is shedding light on how his lungs ended up collapsing four times as doctors claim the damage is too intense to revert.
Sources from local media outlets revealed how the parents of the youngster are concerned because they had no idea that an activity like vaping would result in this behavior.
The vape addict is now sharing his experience with the world after his fourth episode of lung collapse. He says that his hospital clicks are enough to serve as a dangerous warning for other individuals who feel vaping is harmless or perhaps less harmful than cigarettes.
But a reality check by doctors says otherwise. According to them, it’s the equivalent of smoking three packs of cigarettes a day for 30 years.
Moreover, the teenager named Draven Hatfield who is just 19 and hails from West Virginia revealed how his habit of vaping initially started off with just the weekends.
But before he knew it, the habit started to get out of control and he was in dire need of it, proving how it became an addition in no time.
“I was rushed to the hospital four times in four months. At first, I did not know what could be the reason and that’s when I was informed about the dangers of vaping. I thought I was doing my body a favor but in all reality, that’s not the case. The damage is worse or equal to smoking cigarettes”- he adds.
Meanwhile, recent research says more and more youngsters are taking on the trend of vaping, not knowing how much damage it can cause to their systems.
All in all, it’s just tragic how many people are ruining their lives despite having living examples like this teenager in front of them.
