Prince William and Prince Harry were seen side by side with their wives Kate and Meghan as they met with the crowd and viewed floral tributes outside Windsor Castle.
Their joint appearance left many royal fans delighted after the ‘fab four’ were last seen walking out together in 2020.
According to Richard Kay of Daily Mail, both William and Harry appeared strained, with the Duke of Sussex a bit hesitant as they honored the Queen’s memory by inspecting the flowers laid outside the castle and greeting well-wishers.
For 45 minutes, the Prince and Princess of Wales and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved among the grieving crowds, accepting flowers and condolences and shaking hands with them.
Previous reports say that it was their father, King Charles, who ordered the two to set differences aside and walk together to show unity as he just expressed his love for Harry and Meghan during his first television address as the new monarch.
But a royal source explained that the suggestions were ‘absolutely not the case.’
While there was already anticipation that the Waleses would walk outside to meet the crowds and see the flowers, it is understood that William texted his younger brother with a proposed time – a message which the Duke of Sussex acknowledge right away.
“It happened very quickly – remarkable really considering they didn’t see each other in Scotland,” a source said.
Richard Kay then questioned: “Is it indeed a reconciliation or the beginnings of one – or was it simply a truce?”
But an insider said: “These coming days are going to be extremely intense and getting through them without distraction can only be a good thing.”
