Shocking surveillance footage has gone on to reveal a baffling robbery incident that took place at a church in Tennessee recently.
According to local media reports, four women managed to carry out the robber that took place on February 9 at a church present in Clarksville.
In the video, one elderly churchgoer falls prey to the evil tactics used by the robber and her accomplice, allowing them to rob the woman of cash and credit cards from her wallet.
The victim was identified as 78-year-old Linda Morrow who prayed with the thief, without knowing about her intentions.
Reports revealed how the thief had requested Linda to pray by her side and also to kneel down too.
In the meantime, there is another woman who can be seen seated behind the duo. She quickly goes through the victim’s purse, searching for valuables.
This included the accomplice fishing out all of the elderly woman’s credit cards and cash from her wallet, and then carefully placing the wallet back inside her bag, without her finding out.
That woman acted like she was from another church, the entire time. She was led in by the pastor, explained reports.
After robbing the elderly citizen, the duo walks out of the church with ease and then goes on a shopping spree worth $7000 from Sam’s Club.
The incident took place during the evening hours of 6:30 pm and during the whole time, the thief did a great job of keeping the churchgoer busy and distracted with her conversation, while the accomplice carried on with her act.
Speaking for a recent interview with Inside Edition, the Morrow says that she cannot believe that someone would steal from her at a church. “I just can’t believe it occurred with me. Never in a million years would I ever think about anything of this sort taking place”- she added.
