Whoopi Goldberg just celebrated her 69th birthday with a bang on ‘The View’ but her comments might have gotten a little carried away.
Things suddenly took a turn for the worse when one of her co-stars on The View, Sara Haines, approached a giant wheel of cheese that had Goldberg’s face printed across it.
Haines continued to detail how Goldberg adores seeing her face printed across many things.
‘I always wanted this, I do like to be eaten from time to time’- she continued in the clip that was published on X.
Haines’ eyes started to get wide and she decided that it was best for her to just walk away instead of addressing this convo.
The cheeky remark prompted her to get off the set, leaving the audience and producers of the show stunned.
Many asked what just happened because they didn’t see this one coming.
Some laughed it off as a joke and before we knew it, Haines was back but social media did give Goldberg a lesson or two on thinking before speaking.
‘Who says that on national television? This is just gross and bizarre. Come on people, we’re talking about a morning show and not some explicit site’- another added.
