King Charles III is all set to ring in his 74th birthday tomorrow, where the monarch will reportedly celebrate ‘privately’.
This is the King’s first birthday ever since he acceded to the British throne this year. But after the Queen’s death that took place recently, the celebrations would be kept at a bare minimum and he would be taking part in a private ceremony with only close family members, the palace confirmed recently.
It can be said without any doubt that the king had a very busy period since his reign began on September 8 and that’s when he was forced to oversee two different prime ministers during his reign.
Moreover, he was seen leading the nation in honoring the war dead during today’s famous remembrance Sundar service that took place at the Whitehall.
Many people have stated that having an eventful start to this reign was always on the cards for the new King. Therefore, he hopes to mark the occasion of his own birthday by spending it with his loved ones privately.
Charles became the king after the death of the Queen which took place on September 8. And since then, it’s been an awfully busy period for him as the country’s head of state.
When he was the Prince of Wales, he was sometimes away on so many official foreign tours. And these would lie on the occasion of his birthday. The only way he used to celebrate it then was overseas with a cake.
Charles chose to rise to the occasion of the Remembrance service that was once known to be a very integral duty of his late mother who never missed attending the event.
The words, ‘In memory of the glorious dead’ were printed across his floral tribute and it was kept at the memorial.
