Traveling with young kids is never easy for parents and things can get worse when you have to deal with rude passengers in your surroundings too.
This next story is about an old lady passenger who demanded that the mother place her toddler on her lap, instead of letting him sit on his designated seat that she paid for.
The woman says she was baffled at the audacity that the elderly citizen was making and politely excused by stating her child was ‘happy where he was seated’. And as one can imagine, she did not take that quite well.
She looked very upset and called the mother of one rude for not considering her old age. She then looked around to see if anyone would be kind enough to make the adjustment that she needed.
This post has since then been getting plenty of fame online. People were just baffled as to what in the world was going on as passengers don’t need to look at others’ conveniences or put their demands first.
Another spoke about how old age or young, it’s important to make it clear that no one needs to tolerate another’s ridiculous demands because they might feel entitled to do so.
The mother has been praised for not letting her behavior affect her or her travel experience and then some felt she did the right thing and set the standard so that others would fear doing the same. But some people did add that being nice to those who were older was always a plus as they deserved a little more respect in society.
“Perhaps she could have handled the scenario differently?”- another mentioned or helped her navigate by giving her more options or calling the flight attendant to better accommodate her needs as to why she was not willing to sit in her seat. What do you think?
