Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen’s divorce is reportedly proceeding smoother than expected with the split of their $733 million empire nearing its conclusion.
The news of the celebrity couple’s split was confirmed last month after sources revealed the NFL quarterback and the supermodel had a massive fight over Brady’s sudden return to the field just weeks after he announced retirement.
It was since also confirmed that Bundchen hired Florida’s top divorce lawyer and that she was on the “offensive” and ready to fight.
Now, however, Page Six reported that the couple’s divorce could be finalized at any time because they reportedly have no room for disagreements on how to split their wealth and their property portfolio thanks to their prenup.
The couple allegedly signed the “ironclad prenup” back in 2009, whereas the document simplifies the division of assets in case of divorce.
“There was an ironclad prenup set down before they married in 2009,” an insider claimed.
“They both have their own separate business entities, so the separation of their wealth wasn’t that complicated in the end. The only other major factor was dividing up their massive property portfolio.”
The source went on to confirm that the couple managed to quietly reach “the terms of the split and the division of their huge property portfolio” before Bundchen officially filed for divorce last week.
The Page Six report comes weeks after sources suggested that Brady is “very hurt” and that the divorce could turn ugly.
“She is playing offense and he is playing defense. He wants to protect himself, protect his interests, but he’s only starting to go the legal route in his defense from her,” the insider said at the time.
“He doesn’t want this to be ugly, he doesn’t want to fight. If the divorce is happening — and it seems like it is — he wants it to go as smoothly as possible.”
