American Grammy winner and singer-songwriter Tori Kelly was hospitalized over a medical emergency.
The 30-year-old popstar and Should’ve Been Us hitmaker was reportedly treated for serious blood clots at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.
TMZ also revealed that the singer had a number of dangerous formations that required immediate medical attention in proximity to her vital organs.
While the cause of the blood clots near her lungs and in her legs remains unclear, Tori has since been discharged and allowed to continue her recovery from home.
In the following weeks, Tori is also expected to undergo a series of check-ups so that doctors can monitor her condition and improvement.
“I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has prayed for Tori and sent any ounce of love her way,” the singer’s husband, André Murillo, shared on social media.
“I believe it moved mountains. Fear gripped me hard but God is bigger than my fears.”
Thanking his wife’s fans for words of kindness and support during this challenging time, Murillo added: “I can never thank you all enough. Tori is doing much better and I believe you all have something to do with that.”
The message comes days after Tori collapsed suddenly over her “life-threatening” blood clots. She was then rushed to the ICU where she remained for several days until her recent improvement.
“As you may have heard, I’m dealing with some unexpected health challenges. It’s been a scary few days but I can feel your prayers and can’t stop thinking about you,” Tori previously announced.
While her doctors still have “some things to uncover” and get to the bottom of her condition, Tori is now “feeling stronger” and “on the mend.”
