A helicopter crashed into a suburban Illinois street on Thursday night and ended up bursting into flames during a routine training session, creating a massive, chaotic scene for onlookers.
The MMB-BK 117 came down to the ground, right into the street, after it took off from a fire station in Hartford. This is just a half-hour drive from St. Louis in Missouri.

A pilot and two passengers were said to be on board when that helicopter fell from the sky. The incident arose just after 9 pm, the FAA shared.
All three were reportedly transported to a local hospital for their injuries.
Video footage captured by residents in the area depicted the helicopter taking off and seemingly clipping a tree before falling right to the ground.

Additional video captured by witnesses showed the helicopter engulfed in flames on the ground. Before that accident arose, the Harford Fire Department warned residents on social media how ARCH, which is an air medical service based in Missouri and Illinois, would be carrying out a training session in the empty lot.
The helicopter was carrying out its test mission, and even before it fell to the ground, people were warned not to get too close. Little did they know that this tragedy would ensue.
