NFL star Travis Kelce has reportedly asked Taylor Swift’s father for permission to marry his daughter.
The 34-year-old singer and her new flame, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, have been going strong for months after they were first spotted together back in September.
While the couple already took their relationship to the next step as Taylor temporarily moved in with her new flame in his Kansas City ultra-private mansion, they don’t show any signs of slowing down.
On the contrary, it seems the pair are ready to tie the knot after just months of dating.
According to Page Six, a source told the publication that Travis Kelce had already asked Taylor’s dad, Scott, for permission to marry the Bad Blood hitmaker.
“Scott has been asked for his blessing and has wholeheartedly given it, and Travis has been talking to friends about a ring,” the insider claimed.
The exciting news comes just a week after another source suggested Kelce might be planning to propose to his new girlfriend.
“They already know they’re compatible, but living together for an extended period will be the ultimate test,” an insider told Life and Style.
“Even Taylor and Travis are surprised at how seamlessly they’ve been able to blend their lives. It’s been effortless.”
The source went on to say that Travis could be planning to propose on Taylor’s 34th birthday back on December 13. They added days before the celebration: “There are whispers that he could use the opportunity to propose — that’s what everyone, including Taylor, is hoping for!”
And while Travis didn’t end up proposing on Swift’s birthday, fresh sources now confirmed that he is very close to popping the question.
