The final selection for the host of the White House Correspondents’ dinner has been made and it’s none other than Late-Night host Trevor Noah.
Noah, who is the familiar comic face on television and also the host for the Daily Show, has been selected to host the grand and much-anticipated event that’s scheduled for April 30 in Washington.
‘The Daily Show’ host from Comedy Central is also going to be the first comedian to host the grand event since Michelle Wolf from the year 2018.
Sources claim that for the past three years, Donald Trump has been skipping the event in a row while dodging a long stream of jokes that were made at his expense. And now it appears that he might be missing out on this year’s event too.
One pundit claims that Trevor Noah is undoubtedly the most predictable comedian on Television and he will most certainly be avoiding direct attacks at Biden with an intense focus upon Trump.
Keeping in view the history from the past, comedians have poked plenty of fun at different political leaders as well as journalists that attended the event which includes celebs like Seth Meyers, Conan O’Brian, and Jimmy Kimmel.
While Trump is known to skip events like these for obvious reasons, he did mention in the year 2019 how he planned to hold a rally instead of attending the dinner because it’s too boring and negative.
But the White House Correspondents’ Association claims that the dinner is a chance for both politicians and journalists to sit down together and share a great laugh for a good cause.
With a host that’s deemed to be a true critic of former US President Donald Trump, sources claim that Joe Biden and Jill Biden would be more than happy with this year’s host selection. What do you think?
