Donald Trump could possibly announce his candidacy for the upcoming 2024 US elections as early as this month.
According to reports from local media outlets, sources have revealed how the former commander in chief is getting really furious at the growing amount of support that Florida’s governor Ron DeSantis is achieving, and to help distract his fans, he’s going to do whatever it takes to get back on track.
DeSantis was stated to be Trump’s potential rival from the Republican side and previously, there were some reports that went as far as mentioning how Trump could be taking a back seat and allowing DeSantis to run. However, now, there seems to be a change of heart and mind because that’s definitely not the case.
Meanwhile, sources claim that Donald Trump is also in hot waters in regards to the ongoing hearing for the Capital Riot that took place on January 6, last year.
Hence, this abrupt decision to announce his presidency can be taken positively as another huge distraction to prevent people from focusing on that matter and more on other things like this new publicity stunt in the form of an election campaign announcement too.
“Trump is very keen to distract US citizens from the committee hearings of January 6”- says a new report by the New York Times.
A lot of his fellow team members and advisors had wished for Trump to hold on for a little while longer and keep his lips sealed as they felt the time was not quite right at this moment. But as the old saying goes, the former US President loves doing things his way.
In addition to that, it’s quite uncommon to see any US candidates for the presidency announced that they’re going to be running for the post until the year right before the election had taken place.
