The artist who painted the infamous portrait of President Trump for the Colorado State Capitol is breaking her silence on the matter.

She was accused of intentionally painting a distorted Trump portrait. Now, she’s hitting back at all the claims and says she did her best and would never do something of that nature for the President of the US.

Sarah Boardman mentioned during a recent statement on Saturday how the portrait was commissioned in 2019 and then received approval by the Colorado State Capitol Advisory Committee.

In those six years, it was hung in Denver. The artist says she’s confused at the words used by the president because, according to her, it’s a masterpiece, and many viewers found it amazing.

“I got an overwhelming amount of praise for it and so much positive feedback!’- she added. Now, thanks to the infamous remarks from Trump, who says the artist’s age may have caught up with her and her skills, she claims that her business may never be able to recover again.

Trump demanded through his account on Truth Social that it be taken down immediately, adding how it was intentionally distorted to a level that he’s never seen before. The artist denied the allegations and said there was no political bias in mind during the production.
