Donald Trump is making it very clear to the world that he’s staying true to his promises and has big plans after coming into power soon.
The new President-elect says he is doing everything to remove the 14th Amendment that speaks about birthright protections. He feels this is important to crack down on the growing migrant crisis in America.
Trump spoke during a recent NBC interview about how he needs to have things changed quickly if the country wants to remain safe and prosper in the future.
‘We have to end it and we’re the only country that still has it, you know!’- he shared with the host during his interview.
Trump was also asked about getting rid of the provision inside the Constitution and he agreed that this was necessary to target anyone living illegally in the country. This includes those having children while living in the US without any kind of documents or citizenship.
Now the question on many people’s minds is whether or not that can happen or not.
According to experts, it can if Trump proclaims the latest policy and then orders agencies to stop issuing citizenship-confirming documents. This includes both passports and social security cards for kids born in the country to parents without any verified documents.
