Donald Trump has taunted a leading boxer from the Olympics for being trans and slammed the Olympic Committee’s decision to allow her to compete as a woman.
According to reports from local media outlets, Trump blasted Imane Khelif for winning gold in Paris on Friday after getting scrutinized throughout the event for her questionable gender.
Khelif won the women’s boxing final, making way for gold as Algeria’s shining star in the welterweight division. This wrapped up the best series of fights for her boxing career with a massive victory.
But a few hours later, Trump did not shy away from raining on her parade. He intentionally used the pronoun ‘He’ when referring to Khelif and boldly declared her a trans and not a female.
At that time, he was busy addressing a crowd in Montana. It was a Republican rally held in Bozeman and that’s where Trump started to talk about this, leaving many stunned as it had nothing to do with politics.
It seems like Trump has been watching the Paris Olympics very closely this year as he concluded, ‘Who wants to watch men competing as women in sports? It does not make sense and shouldn’t be happening- the very vocal former US President added.
