Donald Trump is not getting much love after he tried to link the recent terror attack in New Orleans to illegal migrants.
The new president-elect connection was dubbed poor and misleading after the suspected terrorist was outlined to be a US national and a former army veteran.
The Republican is all set to take charge of the country in a few weeks and vows to end the migrant crisis which means mass deportations of those immigrants that don’t have the necessary paperwork for staying in the country.
Trump tried to blame the current Biden Open Border policy for the failure in security and rise in terrorist activity which many felt didn’t make sense at this time.
‘I have said this many times before, the rise in extremism and radicalization will become so bad in the country that it’s going to be hard to imagine’- he explained.
Trump also shared how he’s open to new flow of ideas and not just physically removing people from the country. These sentiments were shared on his own social media app called Truth Social.
The New York Times published a story on this front and called Trump’s remarks very disappointing and misleading. They hoped more responsible comments could be made at the right time, considering how he’s the new head of state.
