Ukraine’s President Zelensky has reportedly blasted US President Joe Biden for offering to evacuate him from the war-torn nation.
According to local media reports, Zelensky boldly told Biden that he had no interest in his ‘ride’ and instead asked him for ammunition instead, repeatedly announcing how the war was currently taking place in his nation and he had no intention of fleeing.
The news broke out from a senior-level American intelligence official who claims to have direct knowledge regarding the conversation.
Meanwhile, Russia’s invading forces have now come close to storming the capital and taking full control, in what is being deemed as a total encircling movement. This is moments after a barrage of airstrikes had taken place on numerous cities as well as military bases.
Other reports have suggested how one of Russia’s leading Ilyushin il-76 military aircraft was recently shot down near the city of Bila Tserkva. This is just 50 miles from the south of the capital city of Kyiv as reported by two officials from the US.
The news came right after a video showcased the Ukrainian president sitting down for a cup of tea with his men as he personally coordinated with the defense arrangements made for the capital city.
Later that same evening, President Biden had also authorized a mega release worth $350 million for the military assistance for Ukraine, right after the President arrived back from Delaware, where he took a weekend break.
Earlier reports confirmed how Ukraine’s president had spoken about how this night would be when Russia launches another major assault as they try to make use of all their power on all of Ukraine’s fronts to break its defense system apart.
Zelensky tried to appear calm and cool despite realizing that this is the night that Ukraine needs to stand its ground as the country’s ultimate fate is being decided at this moment.
