US vice president JD Vance is certainly not getting much love after referring to the United Kingdom as some random nation that has not fought any war in a span of 30 years.
He was seen disapproving plans to send British troops and French troops to Ukraine as a force for peacekeeping.
The American VP explained how the sole way to ensure peace and stability remains in the region is giving the US an economic upside in the future of Ukraine.
He shared that real security guarantees come from providing Americans an economic upside in the country’s future. According to him, that will make sure Putin does not invade the country again.
He felt that was a bigger and better, not to mention more reliable security guarantee than sending 20,000 troops from one random nation that has yet to fight a war in over three to four decades.
As expected, his comments about the United Kingdom did not go down well. Many slammed him for thinking this was okay and also for forgetting that the UK did make plenty of sacrifices while fighting alongside the US in previous wars like that in Iraq and Afghanistan.
UK’s Prime Minister broke his silence on the matter and defended UK troops after furious Brits raised their voice on the debate. They were seen calling Vance a foolish offensive, and an arrogant clown.
