Pope Francis suffered from a stroke about an hour after getting out of bed on Monday morning and passed away within minutes.
The news comes after he was said to be fighting to the end to be with his people, as per sources familiar with the outlet.

The pontiff was ailing for a few months and suffering some serious respiratory infections that left him with a swollen face and one that appeared nearly deformed to some.
But despite all the pain and health issues he was going through, the Pope vowed to continue and soldier on. This includes paying a visit to inmates located inside Rome on Holy Thursday.
The frail pope replied that ‘I live this Easter as I can!’- speaking with great effort and difficulty. He didn’t take part in any papal tradition of humility, which included washing the feet of 12 people.
He also skipped presiding over the Easter Mass at the Vatican on Sunday, while he did appear on the balcony to give a blessing and at one point even met US Vice President JD Vance.
Francis woke up at about 6 am, seeming reasonably well. Still, after one hour, he suffered from a stroke that led to a coma and ultimately an irreversible cardiocirculatory collapse as per the Vatican.
