One Asian couple is sharing their absolute fury and shock after a white homeowner banned them from viewing her property for sale.
According to local media reports, the Asian couple was not allowed to visit the property as they had been labeled as complete time wasters who were just on a mission of having a day out.
34-year-old Sareena and her 33-year-old husband Ajay Suman revealed how they wouldn’t be given a glimpse of the four-bedroom estate as they were Indians.
Moreover, the couple also shed light on how they had messaged the homeowner after they laid eyes on the home’s ad on Purplebricks.
But the owner of the house, Claire May, seemed least bothered or even interested.
“She just told us on our faces that she was not interested in taking any viewings from both the Asian as well as the Indian community”- the couple went further to reveal.
Since the incident has gone viral regarding the level of racism that has taken place in today’s day and age, Purplebricks has come forward and apologized to the couple for the homeowner’s shocking behavior towards them.
Moreover, they also explained how the home is no longer listed on the marketplace for this very reason.
The incident comes just months after one gay couple was also refused a viewing by another vendor on Purplebricks.
Reports have also spoken about how the vendor has instructed the Asian community to go and waste other people’s time because she wasn’t interested.
Surprisingly, the only information that had been given to the homeowner regarding the couple was their name and that is why there is an outrage on the incident as so many believe that the homeowner is being so judgemental.
