President Donald Trump’s national security team did the unthinkable recently when they added a top journalist to the top secret chat on military strikes in Yemen.

National Security adviser Mike Waltz was responsible for creating that group through the encrypted messaging app Signal.

VP JD Vance, Secretary of State of Marco Rubio, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and Director for National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard all happened to be among the high level members included.

One CIA representative, Trump’s advisor, and the White House Chief of Staff also happened to be a part of that group.

Jeffrey Goldberg who is the Editor in Chief of the Atlantic was stunned to be a part of this chat as high profile and top secret things including details of military operations were taking place.

He shared on The Atlantic that despite reporting on the country’s national security matters for years, he has never been invited to any White House principals committee meeting.

Still, he was appalled that so many top-secret things were getting shared through a commercial messaging app like this which raises serious concerns with the Trump administration.
