JD Vance was seen getting a very frosty reception online after he was caught on camera waving to an invisible crowd upon his arrival in Greenland.
The US Vice President received immense criticism after he and his wife chose to show up in a country where they were clearly not welcome.
He landed in the chilly territory amid growing calls from Trump to annex the country to protect America’s best interests amid growing security threats.
While meeting troops, he shared how it was so cold and no one had informed him, but that again left so many confused, as they felt like he should have known better, as he was traveling to the Arctic region.
Trying to shake off that cringey moment, Vance doubled down on the mission at hand, which included stressing about Trump’s best interest for the Greenland people, adding how it was all in favor of its people.
Trump has made it very clear that America needs Greenland and vice versa. Vance also mentioned how there was a growing race to annex the region, with America facing competition from Russia and China.
‘The president is interested in Arctic security and nothing more.
You know that things will be getting bigger with time, including the next couple of decades.
The security threat is serious’- he continued, but people are having a hard time taking him seriously after footage of him alighting Air Force 2 and waving at no one went viral on the X app.‘The uninvited guests have arrived in Greenland and are waving to a crowd that doesn’t exist!’- one cheeky caption went on to mention.
