Former US President Donald Trump has made it very clear that he is safe and sound after a second assassination attempt on him.
The Republican leader was targeted for a second time by a shooter who was hidden in the bushes and waiting to prey on his target which was Mr. Trump.
Thankfully, he was unsuccessful at the attempt and ended up shooting in the air after he was apprehended by Trump’s private security guards.
Trump says the assassin was well armed with an AK-47 and he opened fire on his Trump International Golf Course at the West Palm Beach on Sunday.
‘Nothing will ever slow me down and I will never surrender’- Trump continued. He also spoke about how grateful he was to get so much love and support. He signed off with a statement and explained how unity and peace will always make this country great again.
After the incident arose, Trump was rushed to safety after security agents spotted the gunman very close to where Trump was present on the links as reported by The New York Post.
One of the officers went as far as to open fire and shoot at the suspect a few times. He was later detained on I-95 and has now been charged with the crime.
