Kanye West’s account on Twitter is reactivated after Elon Musk takes over the platform in a mega $44 billion acquisition.
The rapper was seen being locked out of their Instagram and Twitter accounts for a few weeks after he posted some controversial anti-Semitic posts.
Both platforms banned the rapper from posting again, causing him to be furious and even making threats to purchase a freedom of speech app called Parler.
Some reports go as far as mentioning how West has started the process of purchasing alternative messaging apps after his Twitter and Instagram apps got locked.
The news comes just a few hours after Musk’s shocking takeover of the platform. The new owner had vowed to bring about some major changes to the app and it appears that he is sticking right by them.
For starters, he vowed to allow those accounts suspended to begin functioning again. And that included the likes of former US President Donald Trump too.
It’s still not clear as yet if West would be returning to Twitter after being locked out but many are looking at this as a really big game-changing move as the world boycotts the troubled musician.
Meanwhile, controversies and criticism continue to pour in for the billionaire who chose to take such decisions without considering the repercussions that they may have.
Kanye West sparked controversy of a whole new kind when he decided to call out Jews and wished death upon them. And when asked to apologize and take his words back, he refused to do so because according to him, they had done him wrong.
West fell from his recent billionaire status recently when huge business partners like Adidas, Vogue, Balenciaga, Footlocker, and Apple Music opted to step aside and cut all ties with the musician. Now, seeing Twitter rekindle the relationship is definitely an eye-opener for many.
