A mid-flight scare has left passengers aboard a United Airlines flight in absolute shock after the aircraft’s wheel fell during take-off.
According to reports from local media outlets, the flight was traveling to Japan from San Francisco but was immediately diverted after the shocking reports rolled out.
The 256-pound wheel fell from the aircraft shortly after take-off and then plummeted to the ground. It slammed right into a line of cars parked below.
The flight is said to have left the airport while it was on the way to Osaka in Japan and then it was barely off the runway when the incident arose of the wheel falling off.
The plane featured 235 passengers and a whopping 14 crew members. It was diverted to the Los Angeles airport after it was mentioned that the landing gear was in failure at 11:35 am on Thursday.
This is the third time in recent times that many heard about the incident involving the giant Boeing being involved in some kind of mishap.
While there was no loss of human life, many cannot help but wonder what was going on. Those aboard the aircraft added how it was a very scary experience for them but gave full credit to the pilot for handling the matter professionally.
