Sources confirmed that Prince William and Kate will not be immediately moving to Windsor Castle as tradition dictates.
According to the reports, the Prince and Princess of Wales have delayed the move from Adelaide Cottage to Windsor Castle to give their three children – 4-year-old Prince Louis, 7-year-old Princess Charlotte, and 9-year-old Prince George – time to adjust to the death of their beloved great-grandmother.
It is believed it could take weeks before the family goes on the move again considering Kate and William’s children just started a new school and moved from Buckingham Palace to Adelaide Cottage less than a week ago.
Adding to the children’s stress is the passing of their beloved ‘Gan-Gan’ who died in the presence of her loved ones on Thursday.
“They won’t be starting from scratch when it comes to decisions on what happens to all of the royal properties because there have been lots of conversations about that over the years, but things can change when family dynamics are taken into account and they will want as little disruption to their children’s lives as possible right now,” an insider claimed, The Telegraph reported.point 554 | 1
“They are very happy right now at Windsor and for the next decade or so everything will be pretty much dictated by what is right for the children.”
The news of the Queen’s passing comes just a week after Kate and William moved their family to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor to be closer to Her Majesty who lived at Windsor Castle.
As the couple previously stated, they also wished to switch to a life in the country while ensuring their children have better schooling options.
