Prince William, the new Prince of Wales, was seen making a warm gesture towards the Duchess of Sussex before their surprise walkabout outside Windsor Castle.
William extended an olive branch to Prince Harry when he invited him and his wife Meghan to come and greet well-wishers with him and his wife Kate, the new Princess of Wales.
The ‘Fab Four’ were finally reunited and were seen walking side by side as they greeted royal fans and inspected floral tributes laid outside the royal estate.
Videos show how William gently extended an arm toward Meghan before they walked through the gates of the royal estate.
The hesitant Duchess of Sussex could be seen standing a few steps away from a vehicle while the Duke of Sussex stood close to William and Kate.
As soon as he noticed this, the Prince of Wales gestured toward his sister-in-law to invite her to join their conversation.
The couples were greeted by applause as they passed through the gates of Windsor Castle side by side to honor the legacy of the Queen.
Their reunion marked the first time that the four of them have appeared in public together since Commonwealth Day on March 9, 2020.
Meghan was seen offering hugs out to mourners and cooing over babies in the crowd.
A Kensington Palace source said that William invited Harry and Meghan to join him and Kate earlier on Saturday.
The Sussexes’ preferred journalist and friend Omid Scobie later took to Twitter and said that the invitation was made at the ‘11th hour’ but was quick to add that “it is, without a doubt, a significant moment in the history of the relationship between the two brothers.”
