Meghan Markle and her luxe jam are making the headlines again but sadly, it’s for all the wrong reasons.
The Duchess of Sussex is not getting much love for her luxe product as trolls tore her down for sending ‘garbage jam’ to the leading Kardashian mother, Kris Jenner.
Many slammed the jam as the most pathetic and ordinary product whose packaging failed to live up to its grand name and price. At the same time, the fact that it was accompanied by wilted lemons happened to be the cherry on top of the icing.
Meghan has been working hard on PR to ensure effective marketing comes into play so that her product gets the right kind of attention from the masses. But so far, it’s not doing too well on that front as the criticism continues to rise.
Many influencers and celebs who are said to be close pals of the Suits actress were treated to the product from American Riveria which is Meghan’s exclusive luxury brand. But the hype that it surrounds failed to leave a lasting mark on fans’ minds.
Kris was said to be one of the lucky 50 to receive this honor of attaining sweet baskets filled with goodies. This included plants, lemons, the latest fruity spread, and an exclusively designed handwritten letter by the Duchess herself. But what it seemed like was poorly packaged jam and bruised fruit.
However, critics feel she might be trying too hard as Jenner announced the product through her social media account and personally thanked her business for being thoughtful and sending this product her way.
