The 28-year-old marched through three tough rounds to win through a unanimous decision and join Imane Khelif of Algeria in another success of bidding her opponents farewell from outside the ring who made false claims that she was a male and therefore should be barred from the tournament.

Yu-Ting wiped off her smile from her opponent’s face with a blistering array of punches from the bell. While her opponent did try to derail her from getting the championship, she was just too good for her in the end.
