A 13-year-old boy who was reportedly born without any legs has won a spot on his school’s basketball team.
Sources from local media outlets were quick to mention how he is an absolute trooper and fighter that never allowed his disabilities to come between him and his passion.
Josiah Johnson managed to make his own way into the Moor Middle School basketball team where events would be played in full swing in Kentucky.
Johnson says he’s can’t believe his luck and prayers at this point in time. He also attributed that some of the credit goes to the love and support he’s managed to get from his own teachers and classmates.
His teammates strongly believe he has worked so hard in his life and despite being so young and having a disability, he continued for days.
But that’s when all of a sudden, his hard work brought about a new title for him. He would be playing for the school’s own team. “I know this is an absolute dream come true for me. I have trained well and can do enough to keep this as a memory that I’ll cherish forever”- he adds.
Another option for him would have been to play in a wheelchair. But he feels that it would just be so boring and easy in that manner. Now, he wants to prove a point to the world by doing things in his own unique manner.
“I just thought it would be a good idea to try my luck out. I did not know how things would end up going but they do so well for me. I can’t believe I am a part of the team”- he adds.
His coach and teammates are so proud of him. They claim he provides good competition to arch-rivals with whom they’re playing against.
