Shauna Rae is a 22-year-old woman who is stuck inside the body of an 8-year-old due to her medical condition.
But many fail to think about that and begin to judge her on the streets. And now, the 22-year-old is coming out with her own reality show on TLC where she sheds light on the many struggles that she faces on a routine basis. And that includes how her family gets drawn into her battles too.
Recently, Shauna revealed how wearing makeup turns into a major problem for her. And that’s because so many judgemental strangers assume her mother lets a child dress up and leave the house with a face that’s full of makeup.
“They just assume I’m a guilty mother for letting a child wear so much makeup,” revealed Shauna’s mom. “They fail to realize that she’s a grown woman that’s stuck in the body of an 8-year-old child because, during her childhood, she had cancer. And that cancer stunted her growth,” the emotional mother added.
In the latest preview of her show’s new episode, the 22-year-old can be seen dragging a chair to her bathroom as her short height doesn’t allow her to reach her mirror properly and that’s why she tends to struggle with her makeup.
Shauna also explained how it’s very normal for her to get stares from strangers who appear to be curious about her situation. However, seeing her family get affected and judged with so much negative energy in the air is sometimes hard for her to cope with.
Previously, the 22-year-old revealed how it’s so hard for her to date and find a decent man because so many assume she’s lying about her age, including dating platforms.
