One woman is slamming her date that she met online for fat-shaming, despite knowing that she was recovering from an eating disorder.
22-year-old Sammi James who hails from Texas claims she assumed that she had met her perfect match online but little did she know about his true colors which he happened to reveal via a text message, after their meeting.
“I was on cloud nine because I assumed he was the one. The date went pretty good and I was home feeling happy,” Sammi revealed.
However, her balloon of happiness soon busted when she realized that the man she had just met was surprised to see her weight and even had the guts to mention it to her.
“He knew that I had suffered from an eating disorder and I was recovering from that. Yet, he chose to shame me about my weight,” the 22-year-old revealed.
While the identity of her date remains unknown, Sammi did make it a point to reveal on her social media account what he said, right after their first date together.
“It surprised me. I was left feeling so small and insecure after that,” she went on to add.
The young woman was recovering from a serious illness called anorexia and just the fact that someone would be so heartless to lecture her about her weight, even after that, was beyond mind-blowing for her.
After opening up about the entire ordeal on TikTok, her post went viral in no time. Many were also appalled at the audacity that the young man had and how insensitive he could be. Meanwhile, others bashed him and told the woman that she was better off without someone as cruel as him.
