Hollywood actor Brad Pitt was left with no choice but to make a statement after shocking reports spoke about a woman who was scammed a whopping $850K for thinking she was dating the A-list star.
Pitt shared with fans that it’s so important for them to realize that stars are not on social media and therefore if someone is impersonating them by replying to your messages, that’s definitely a scam.
The actor’s team shared more on the matter including how the celeb is not texting anyone for money and also insisted people wake up and see and learn from such scams that had one female conned out of $850,000 by a malicious actor who tried to pretend that he was Pitt.
The star’s agent shared in a press release that it was awful to hear such news coming out and that scammers were taking advantage of the strong bond between both fans and celebs.
The actor urged fans never to respond to such messages, especially from those stars having zero presence online through these apps.
The story had to do with a 53-year-old divorcee who shared with the French press how she parted a huge fortune after thinking she was paying the actor for his cancer treatment.
