Women in Ukraine are displaying no-nonsense bravery and defiant attitude as they pick up arms and begin to fight for their country.
A brilliant example of the above notion is a 37-year-old fitness instructor as well as an IT teacher named Tetiana who says she’s put her life behind her and rose up to the occasion as that’s the need of her nation, at the moment.
“We have refused to listen to stereotypical people and their thoughts regarding what women should be. We can’t simply stay at home and watch our country slip away into the hands of the Russians”- she explained.
Grabbing her giant gun, she is being termed as the only female fighter on the Bratstvo Battalion, and more power to her for rising up to the occasion.
Alongside her, you’ll find plenty of other inspiring examples of women who are willing to take up arms and go where no other woman has gone before in Ukraine.
A recent picture of 20-year-old Tanya, another brave woman who says she has only one motto in life at the moment and that includes being right here for her country.
“It is my duty at this moment to be here right now”- she explained.
Clearly, the unity and bravery seen in Ukraine’s women are being hailed around the globe as the country tries to defend its land without laying down its arms and surrendering.
Tetiana and Tanya are just two examples of plenty of other Ukrainians who claim to represent strong women and after celebrating Women’s Day recently, it can be said without a doubt that they’re no different than their male counterparts.
