Wrestling legend Hulk Hogan has reportedly been left paralyzed following his back surgery.
The 69-year-old WWE champ, whose real name is Terry Gene Bollea, allegedly underwent a serious medical procedure during which nerves were removed from his back.
The operation left Hogan paralyzed from the waist down and it currently remains unclear if the wrestling icon will recover his ability to move his legs and walk or if the paralysis is permanent.
“He had the nerves cut from his lower body, he can’t feel his lower body. So, he has to use his cane to walk around,” Hulk’s longtime friend and WWE star Kurt Angle said.
“I thought he was using the cane because he has pain in his back. He doesn’t have any pain, he has nothing at all. He can’t feel anything.”
He continued: “So now he can’t feel his legs. So he has to walk with a cane which is, you know, that’s pretty serious, man.”
The 6-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion previously made an appearance at WWE Raw’s 30th anniversary show last week.
During the anniversary, Hogan allegedly entrusted Angle with his health issues and told him he lost all feeling in his legs.
The news comes months after the wrestler underwent knee surgery that rendered him “pretty much useless.”
“He put his heart and soul into the business and ate him up,” Angle added.
“He’s the name and face of the company. He’s the guy that revolutionized pro wrestling. I have so much respect for him.”
In the past, Hogan underwent a total of over 25 surgeries, he revealed in a bombshell 2021 interview with TMZ. 17 of those surgeries were carried out in the last ten years alone.
“My knees are fake, hips are fake, back is full of metal and part of my face is full of metal,” the wrestling icon said.
