The party event was scheduled to mark Betty White’s 100th birthday celebration but little did anyone know that she would pass away, just days before she reached the milestone age.
Betty was excited and all set to celebrate her 100th year of life on the 17th of this month. Moreover, an entire tribute was even set up to honor her contributions in Hollywood, explained sources.
And this particular tribute would also be played in a number of movie theaters for one night only, making it truly an exclusive event,
But after her sudden passing away on Friday, many were skeptical about whether or not the show would go on after her demise.
However, despite the tragedy that took place on New Year’s Eve, inside sources have confirmed how “Betty White: 100 Years Young- A Birthday Celebration” would still continue as planned, despite the tragic news of her death.
Moreover, the producers of the movie, Steve Boettcher and Mike Trinklein spoke to The Post and that’s where they revealed how they planned to continue the film’s premiere next month.
“Today, our hearts mourn with the passing away of Betty White. During the so many years that we worked with her, we developed such a special bond and love as well as admiration for her as a person. She is definitely an accomplished entertainer,” they went on to explain.
The producers also shed light on how they were both so grateful to have been given so many beautiful decades of delight that Betty White managed to bring to everyone. She is just so lucky to have a career as massive and successful as she did,” the duo concluded in the end.
