The victims of the helicopter that came crashing down into the Hudson River yesterday in New York City have now been identified.

According to reports from local media outlets, the exact cause of the crash still remains uncertain as investigations are being carried out.

The people included Agustin Escobar who was the head of the Spanish division of the tech company Siemens. Others onboard were his wife and three kids.

The pilot, who was also killed, is yet to be identified. For now, the cause of this crash is unknown and currently under investigation.

The tragic incident arose at 3:15 pm local time, as per the New York City Police Department. The Hoboken Fire Department confirmed that the crash occurred in Jersey City.

All six people on board the craft were declared dead, including the pilot, though authorities are yet to share key details like what resulted in this crash or who those victims are.

One witness declared how he saw the helicopter falling apart before his eyes, before hitting the water. The temperatures inside were outlined as frigid cold that would limit anyone’s chances of survival, another first responder shared.
