Tragic details were revealed in the cause of death for former New York Yankee star Brett Gardner’s son Miller, who passed away during the family vacation.

The cause of death is now being shifted to possible food poisoning as one of the likely causes of his sudden passing in Costa Rica.

Authorities shared on Tuesday that asphyxiation was not a possibility despite it being reported as the original cause of death. They warned it might take a few months before they reach a certain decision about why the teen died on Friday at the high-end resort.

Costa Rican authorities shared in the past how the victim passed away from possible intoxication after ingesting some food, and the rest of the family also reported falling sick after eating a meal that was at an unnamed restaurant.

Brett Gardner and his partner Jessica and their sons were seen vacationing at the $2000 a night Arenas Del Mar Beachfront and Rainforest Resort outside Manuel Antonio National Park when Miller was found dead in his bed, as per officials.

Both the resort and the restaurant where the family had dined at the start of the week shared how the Garderners didn’t have their final meal there.
