Actress Teri Garr has passed away at the age of 79.
According to reports from local media outlets, her publicist Heidi Schaeffer confirmed to The Post recently how she died during the morning hours of Tuesday in Los Angeles after suffering a long battle with multiple sclerosis.
She leaves behind her loving daughter Molly O’Neil and her grandson Tyryn. The comedy legend was most famous for roles in several movies where she did get an Oscar nomination.
Gar was born in Ohio and then went to LA and then to New York to pursue a career in acting.
She began as a go-go dancer and then went on to make appearances at Elvis Presley’s shows too. This included six world-famous projects featuring the leading entertainer.
She’s got some really early breaks her careers with movies and since then, the star knew that this was her forte and she just had to continue.
Her biggest role to date was a character as Frankenstein’s assistant in the leading movie Young Frankenstein.
That same year, she starred in several other leading movies including one produced by top producer Steven Spielberg. Tributes for the star surrounded social media immediately after the tragic news broke out.
