Nicolas Cage, 55, was caught on video applying for a marriage license at a courthouse in Las Vegas on Saturday in disconcerted condition.
Four days after tying the knot with his girlfriend, he has filed legal documents seeking an annulment of his 4-day marriage to Erika Koike. The woman also agrees that their marriage was a mistake.
According to TMZ, Cage asked a judge Wednesday to void their marriage.
Makeup artist Koike and Leaving Las Vegas Oscar winner are believed to have started dating about a year ago.
Reports say that Cage is not the only one who believes their nuptials was not a good idea as Koike also agrees. The actor believes the whole situation was just a mistake.
In a video obtained by Daily Mail, Cage was recorded making a scene while applying for a marriage license with his girlfriend, telling people passing by that she was going to take all of his cash.
The two were seen at the Clark County Court House Marriage License Bureau in Las Vegas on Saturday and the actor appeared to be agitated and was “most likely drunk,” according to an eyewitness.
There was also a point when he started shouting about how his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend is a drug dealer and that ‘he isn’t doing it,’ seemingly talking about obtaining a marriage license.
The footage also showed Koike telling Cage: “I never asked you to do this,” before he gently pushed her through the hallway and said: “come on, let’s go.”
A source also told Daily Mail: “They started by filling the application in one of the machines. The whole time he was yelling ‘she is going to take all my money’ and ‘her ex is a druggy, her ex is a druggy’.”
“The woman only kept saying ‘Baby, I am not asking you to do this’,” the source added.
