Nicolas Cage, 56, has tied the knot with his 26-year-old fiancée Riko Shibata at the Wynn Casino Hotel in Las Vegas.
The couple were photographed surrounded by green foliage and white candles in the hotel’s Primrose Courtyard before they walked holding hands back into the hotel.
The state of Nevada marriage certificate obtained by Daily Mail shows that the actor and his girlfriend exchanged their vows with Reverend Richard E. Walter as the officiant on February 16.
Cage confirmed the wedding to the news outlet and said in a statement: “It’s true, and we are very happy.”
Riko, who is four years younger than her husband’s first son Weston Cage, wore a Japanese Bridal Kimono as she held a bouquet of red and yellow roses while the actor wore a Tom Ford tuxedo with a yellow rose buttonhole.
She has taken the actor’s name and is now known as Riko Cage.
Cage was first spotted with his then girlfriend in February 2020 in New Orleans.
In August, the actor announced their engagement in an interview with his brother Marc Coppola’s radio show.
“She left New York and went back to Kyoto, Japan, and I went back to Nevada and I haven’t seen her for 6 months,” he said at that time.
“We’re really happy together and we’re really excited to spend that time together so I finally just said ‘’Look, I wanna marry you’’ and we got engaged on FaceTime.”
Cage continued: “I got her a black diamond engagement ring. Her favorite color is black so she wanted the black gold, and the black diamond.
“I customized and personalized it and I actually sent it to her FedEx.”
The happy couple’s wedding came less than two years after Cage’s four-day marriage to his fourth wife Erika Koike.
Cage asked for an annulment and argued that he was too intoxicated to understand what he was doing when they got married.
