Brady Snakovsky, a nine-year-old boy from Strongsville, Ohio, has done what most people don’t even notice as an error.

At a young age of eight, he was watching ‘Live PD’ which is a modern day version of ‘Cops’. Brady noticed that while all the officers were wearing a bulletproof vest, the K9 (canine) officers were not.

He was not very happy with the differentiation and asked his mother if they could provide the K9s with their own bulletproof vests. But on searching, they found that each such vest’s cost was more than $1200.

Irrespective of the price, little Brady was determined to help these four-legged saviors. Brady, along with his mother, Leah Tornabene, founded a page ‘GoFundMe’ to raise money so that they could buy one vest.

And as they say, good deeds are always backed by God, their page went viral and for all the right reasons. The page was noticed by ‘Line of Fire Defence Systems’, the company that makes these vests. They even helped Brady’s campaign by donating them one.

He and his mother also commenced ‘Brady’s K9 Fund’ to further elevate this cause. This fund includes a page where they showcase pictures of K9 officers who received these vests and also where they serve.

Since last year, the mother-son duo has managed to raise over $87,000 and have provided 85 bulletproof vests so far.

They also have a waiting list of 57 police officers who are asking for such a vest for their buddy.

His mother has said in an interview that since the cost of each vest is so high, they are in direct contact with the manufacturer to get the jackets at the ‘Law enforcement Cost.’

The vests are embedded with technology, which makes them lightweight while also regulating body heat. It provides edged weapon and ballistic protection for the vital organs. The movement is also not hindered while the dogs are wearing it.
