A 27-year-old woman is sharing her heartbreaking story regarding how she was denied entry into a party bus because of her large size.
Fallon Melillo claims that the term ‘fat phobia’ is not a misnomer and it continues to pave way for more hardships and struggles in today’s world. Her recent personal story has the world heartbroken and shocked as to how certain people’s behavior can leave long-lasting scars in the lives of so many individuals.
Fallon who is proud of her plus-sized figure says that it’s not uncommon for her to be called out for her extra pounds. But what she recently endured was definitely an eye-opener regarding how mean some people can truly be sometimes.
“I was left feeling so embarrassed after I was blatantly kicked off a party bus because they had a disgusting policy that stated, ‘No big girls allowed!”- she said.
Moreover, the 27-year-old says that the entire event revolved around s fatphobia, and just in case that wasn’t enough, she added how disgraced she felt after some of the comments made by others.
“We are really sorry but we can’t allow you here. The doorman is very strict when it comes to people’s appearances,” said one person.
Humiliated as ever for the discrimination she faced over the event that was held in Miami, USA, Fallon says that she made it a point to call them out later and publicly shame them. However, ever since the young woman set about raising her voice over the issue, she says that the organization in charge of the event has disappeared.
“If you had problems entering other clubs too, then this place is definitely not for you,” another bold listing mentioned. “Please do not waste your precious time because you know we cannot help you in getting inside,” another sign stated.
Clearly, the toxic mentality on display is something that Fallon feels is set out to make young women feel bad about themselves. And for this reason, she is going to do everything she can to prevent such incidents from taking place in the future!
