Good news animal lovers.
To this day, no evidence has been found that suggests your pets can spread the coronavirus around. Also, they cannot be infected either.
In the beginning, people had started abandoning their cats and dogs amid fear of the spread of the disease.
But it has been revealed now that neither your cats and dogs are affected by it, nor do they spread it.
World Health Organization wrote “In the present, there has been no revelation of any evidence that can prove your pets, your beloved cats and dogs, can be affected by the virus too.
This means you do not have to kill them or abandon them.”
“However, keeping your hygiene is still very important. Make sure you wash your hands thoroughly after you have touched your pet.”
Simply washing hands can keep you away from bacterias like E.coli and Salmonella.
The doubts had come after a dog in Hong Kong was tested positive.
Correcting it The Agriculture, Fisheries, and Conservation Department said that the dog was tested mild positive and was put in isolation instantly.
In the UK, over 30,000 people have been tested for the virus.
By far, more than 1300 people have tested positive and more than 35 patients have lost their lives due to the disease.
On 12th of March Boris Johnson, the Prime Minister of the country announced that the schools and colleges shall remain open till further notice.
He also said that the decision can be changed following future situations.
