A non-verbal teen asked his classmate to prom in a unique way and won the Internet.
Cam from Northwest High School in Canal Fulton, Ohio, is non-verbal and uses a special tablet which helps him speak.
Cam wanted to ask his classmate, Maddy Barabasch to prom so, he decided to ask her in a unique way.
Someone handed Maddy blue puzzle pieces when she was in her public speaking class.
It only took her a few moments to solve the puzzles. When she finished solving the puzzle, she saw the word “prom” written across the puzzle. But, the puzzle was incomplete.
That’s when Cam entered the classroom with the missing piece in hand.
“We started putting it together. As it went on, you could see it started to spell prom. I had no idea what it was and who was asking me”, Maddy told Fox 8 Cleveland.
“I burst into tears, as soon as it happened. I was more excited than anything, he was so sweet.”
School’s principal, Larry Tausch shared the video on Twitter and wrote: “Some wonder why I love Northwest the way I do. Today Cam found his date to the prom. Cam is amazing. Maddie is pure gold.”
Maddy replied to the tweet: “Cam never fails to make me smile, but yesterday he made me cry happy tears! I’m so lucky to be his prom date and couldn’t be more excited! Cam and this school make my heart so happy #lifeisgood”
