It is a big No No in every part of the world. No one would want to fail in the first place. But if the failing percentage is as high as 60% then there is a fair chance for most of the average students to fall in the trap.

The number of average students is extremely high in comparison to intelligent students. Average students are generally able to score as much as 60 to 70 percent.

House Bill 145 has been proposed by North Caroline General Assembly. The bill proposes to change the grading from a scale of 10 to a scale of 15 which means that F grade will now be below 40% rather than being somewhere around 60%.

According to this new scale, grade A will be from 100% to 85%, grade B will be from 84% to 70%, grade C will be from 69% to 55%, and grade D will be from 54% to 40%. Continuing on the scale, Grade F will be 39% to 25% as per the bill.

The new scale proposed will not hamper the progress of the students who are already doing well, it is only going to help the students who are not able to perform very well and are always under the fear of failing.

This also means that the kids who were not promoted before now will be able to climb up in their school. If the bill is passed then the same will come in effect from the new session of 2019-2020.
