Sometimes, making offhand comments on social media can get you in trouble.
After all, thousands if not millions of people could potentially read what you wrote and even you didn’t really say anything wrong, there’s always someone out there who’s willing to take things the wrong way. One misstep is all it takes for you to become viral in all the wrong ways.
That being said, sometimes those comments actually pay off and you get responses that will bring a smile to your face.
That was certainly the case for a woman named Olivia Corcoran, from London, who tweeted: “Boys in their dirty work gear, nothing sexier.”
Unexpectedly, her post went viral and quickly got 23,000 likes. But not only that, the working men she referred to actually obliged her by sending pics of them in their dirty work clothes!
Rather than be offended, Olivia said that being inundated with those pics actually “made her day.”
One pic showed Kyle McCabe, from Scotland, posing with his workmate, Kyle Clelland, recreating typical boudoir positions, with the comment: “Young @Kyle-Clelland11 at his best.”
Olivia replied by saying: “These two pictures have made my day.”
@HenryyJames, from Hartlepool, shared a pic of him posing on a chair while wearing his bright yellow construction gear (dirtied up, of course).
@Ross-Keeling 99 sent a pic of him wearing bright orange work trousers while having a pint after work, saying: “DM me if interested xx.”
Grant Disher, from Fort William, was a little more daring with a snap of him wearing paint-stained work overalls that covered his nipples.
In the meantime, Brooke Waithe, from Kent, went topless while posing in a hi-vis vest atop some scaffolding.
@joshualeighton6 had a photo of him lying on his side beside a hot water storage unit to which @saucerboonie replied: “Lovely looking pipework.”
But it wasn’t just tradesmen who were sending the hilarious pics.
Josh Farrell, from Liverpool, sent his own pic while wearing his McDonald’s uniform.
@KayJ-KO, from Ashbourne, was wearing a hair net and a hat in the supermarket bakery where he worked.
@laurahill02 sent a photo of a man, presumably her partner, completely caked in mud followed by the caption: “Wish I could relate.”
Olivia said the thread has left her “creasing.” The thread also featured videos of workmen attempting to look sexy.
